After the show, we go back to the ship and into the shark lagoon. There are not more than 40 of us visitors, but many more people use the lagoon to fish or swim around. Of course, people fish the lagoon as well, but a vast majority of people just swim and enjoy the lagoon. For me, it is like a playground of fish. All of the corals and fish seem to want you to stay and enjoy the lagoon, and the feeling of being in this habitat with them is incredible. Then the show comes back on and they will bring the ship to the top of the lagoon for a minute so that all of us passengers can go see the lagoon and the show.

After the show, they bring the ship back down and out of the lagoon. Everyone starts to get cleaned up and at this point the ship is now in the port of Monaco. We are met with the perfect sunshine. We enter the museum, and there are no more tunnels, only glass windows on the outside of the museum. It is one big aquarium, and they have 10 lagoons, including the shark lagoon. The only lagoon where they actually showed the sharks was the small lagoon outside of the map room. I saw six different sharks in that lagoon, and they were great.
In Monte Carlo, the host gives you a private tour of the grounds with the zoological specimens. Very cool. We go to the small lagoon that is where the small sharks live. There were around 5 to 8 sharks in this lagoon and they were great.
The water was incredibly clear, the sharks were very friendly and the stingrays were extremely tame. The dive master was fantastic, he took us through all of the schooling, schooling a jack shark was the highlight of the day. He also was really good at spotting sharks. Having a guide and a divemaster when you spend a day in a group of 3-4 people is so helpful because you are able to see the sharks more from a distance and get a better look at their features. The lagoon is also pretty big so it doesnt feel like you are confined to the lagoon. The wave isnt the biggest but it doesnt bother the water at all.
