Virtual Datarooms Software: Because Apparently Google Drive Wasn’t Stressful Enough
So I’m sitting here wondering why every “serious business deal” requires me to log into some super secure virtual dataroom. Don’t get me wrong, I get it—confidentiality, due diligence, the whole corporate James Bond routine. But at some point, it feels like I’m just paying premium rates to upload PDFs into a fancy folder that yells at me if I try to screenshot.
And the pricing? Oh boy. Some charge by page, some by user, some by how many times you blink while logged in. Meanwhile, I could just email the file, but apparently that’s not “professional.” If you want to see how deep this rabbit hole goes, check this out: https://dataroom-software.ca/, it’s like the Disneyland of overcomplicated file sharing.
Anyone else feel like these platforms are just glorified Dropbox accounts with attitude?
