What If the Other Driver Was Uninsured?

Hi all. I was involved in an accident where the other driver turned out to be uninsured. I’m concerned about how medical bills and vehicle repairs will be covered. I do have uninsured motorist coverage, but I’m not sure how that process works or whether I should seek legal assistance before filing a claim under my own policy. Has anyone dealt with a similar situation?

Hello. When the at-fault driver is uninsured, your own uninsured motorist coverage may help cover medical expenses and certain damages, depending on your policy limits. However, dealing with your own insurer can sometimes still involve negotiations or disputes over the value of the claim. Consulting an attorney can help ensure the claim is properly documented and fairly evaluated. You can review general guidance on accident claims and uninsured driver situations at https://callyourlawyernow.com where they outline how these cases are typically handled.
