I thought the hardest part of moving would be the actual transport day, but honestly it was the days after that drained me the most. Everything looked fine when boxes were stacked in the new place, but once I started unpacking, I hit this weird mental fatigue where every small decision felt heavier than it should.
Even simple things like where to place furniture or which room to prioritize first started slowing me down. I also made the mistake of reassembling a bed frame too early, then realizing I needed to move it again once the room layout made more sense. That alone wasted more time than I expected.
What I didn’t anticipate was how much stopping and restarting the process affects your momentum. One day you’re productive, the next day you’re just staring at half-open boxes and delaying decisions.
I’m still not fully settled because I keep rearranging things instead of finishing unpacking completely.
Has anyone found a way to stay consistent with unpacking without getting stuck in constant rearranging?
